SLA resin printing is how Additive Inn makes the parts that have to look right up close. A UV laser cures liquid resin one thin layer at a time, down to 25 microns, so the surface comes off the machine smooth and the detail is sharp enough for a trophy, a figurine, or a master you plan to mould from. Most resin services hand you a raw, brittle print. Ours sits next to a paint booth and an electroplating line, so the piece can leave looking finished.
When SLA is the right call
Choose SLA over FDM or SLS when surface and detail matter more than cost or size:
- Display and detail: figurines, scale-model parts, busts, and props where layer lines would ruin the look.
- Anything you’ll paint or plate: resin sands smooth and takes electroplating better than filament, so it is the start of most of our trophies and awards.
- Masters for moulding: a crisp resin master is the cleanest way into silicone moulding and casting.
- Clear and translucent parts: light pipes, lenses, and see-through enclosures in clear resin.
Part of the whole workshop
SLA is one process under our 3D printing service. Need strength and no support marks instead? That is SLS nylon. Not sure which fits? Send the file and the application and we recommend the process rather than quote blindly.

Frequently asked
How much does SLA 3D printing cost in Singapore?
SLA resin prints are priced by part weight, from S$0.30 to S$0.80 per gram depending on the resin. Send your STL, STEP, OBJ or 3MF file through our instant quote tool for same-day pricing with no email gate. Volume discounts start at around 10 percent for 10 to 24 units and reach 30 percent past 100.
What is the difference between SLA and FDM 3D printing?
SLA cures liquid resin layer by layer with a UV light source, so it captures fine detail and leaves a smooth surface with almost no visible layer lines. FDM melts and extrudes plastic filament, which is cheaper and better for large or functional parts but shows layer lines. Pick SLA for trophies, figurines, display models and anything you plan to paint, electroplate or mould from. Pick FDM for prototypes, jigs and large pieces where surface finish matters less.
What resin materials do you offer?
We run standard resin for display and detail work, tough or durable resin for parts that get handled, clear resin for light-pipe and transparent pieces, castable resin for jewellery and lost-wax masters, and high-temp resin for fixtures that see heat. Tell us the application and we match the resin rather than guess.
Can SLA prints be painted or electroplated?
Yes, and it is what sets us apart from a print-only service. Our resin line sits next to a paint booth and an electroplating line, so an SLA print can leave sanded, primed, Pantone-matched painted, clear-coated, or electroplated to a real chrome, gold or copper metal finish. Resin takes plating better than most printed plastics, which is why our trophies and awards start as SLA prints.
