What we brought
What we can do
Your own design, made printable
DSO sent their own 3D design. We found the thin parts and weak joints and made it ready to print.
How we look after you
A gold that matches your set
Primed and sprayed metallic gold to match the gold rhino trophy DSO chose as their reference.
What you get
A nameplate you can change
The silver 80 by 40 mm plate carries three logos and comes off, so the wording can change later.

At Additive Inn, our 3D printing studio in Singapore, we made DSO National Laboratories' Guest of Honour trophy for the Singapore Amazing Flying Machine Competition. DSO needed their own paper plane design made strong enough to print, finished in gold on a steady base.
Design and prototyping
Step 2 of 5
DSO's design arrived as a 3D file with thin parts and weak joints. Their team joined the top plane to its upright, and we made the file ready to print: three planes on a 3 mm metal rod, set into a weighted base.

Production
Step 3 of 5
The trophy body, three planes on their upright, was SLA printed in ABS-like resin, primed and sprayed metallic gold. The base was FDM printed in black and weighted so the tall, top-heavy trophy stands firm.
Build and assembly
Step 4 of 5
The planes went onto the metal rod, the rod into the base, and the silver nameplate onto the base's face, where it can be taken off and replaced.
The final build
Step 5 of 5
The finished trophy, made for the competition's Guest of Honour: three gold planes climbing one upright above a black base, with the nameplate in DSO's own wording.
