What we brought
What we can do
A drawing turned into a sculpt
We turned a hand-drawn character sheet into a 3D sculpt, down to the SGX lettering on his belt.
How we look after you
The design settled before printing
We reworked the rebar into separate ribbed rods on a strap before a single figure was printed.
What you get
Identical figures for every award
Every resin figure came out the same, ready to be finished and mounted for the awards.

The brief
Step 1 of 6
At Additive Inn, our 3D printing studio in Singapore, we made the mascot figure for SGX's trading awards trophies: a strongman giving a thumbs-up with rebar on his shoulder.
Concept
Step 2 of 6
The design started from a character sheet: front, side and back views, the thumbs-up pose, rebar rods on the shoulder and a champion belt with SGX debossed on it.
Design and prototyping
Step 3 of 6
We sculpted the mascot in 3D from the sheet, with the rock-like body, torn jeans and the debossed belt, and checked him from every side before printing.

Production
Step 4 of 6
The figures were printed in white resin in batches, each with the rebar on his shoulder and SGX on his belt.
Clean-up and batch check
Step 5 of 6
With the supports off, we laid each batch out and checked the figures side by side: the same pose, rebar and SGX belt on every one, ready to be finished.
The final build
Step 6 of 6
Each printed figure became one trophy: finished in silver and mounted on a faceted grey base with a brass plate naming the award and its winner.
