A medical client came to us with scan data of a patient’s forearm and hand, and needed the bone structure as a physical object. We converted the scan into printable geometry and produced it in industrial-grade resin: the radius and ulna, the cluster of carpal bones and every finger, reproduced exactly as they sit in the patient.
From scan to object
The model is not sculpted or idealised. It is the patient’s own anatomy, translated from the scan into a watertight 3D model and printed as-is, bone by bone. That accuracy is the whole point: a print like this lets a clinician hold the exact structure they are working with, turn it over, and study it at full scale rather than on a screen.
Printed for medical work
We printed the set in an industrial-grade resin chosen for its dimensional stability and clean surface, in both a tinted translucent finish that reveals the internal structure and a clear version. Scan data like this is sensitive, so the files and prints were handled in confidence throughout, and the models were delivered directly to the client for their clinical use.
