At Additive Inn, our 3D printing studio in Singapore, we made a display figure of a plate of Hokkien mee for the brand Shiok Hokkien Mee. They needed their 2D picture turned into a 200 mm plate, painted to match.

Step 3 of 5
The figure was SLA printed in resin as one piece, then primed grey. We masked the noodles, chopsticks and fork so the plate and its raised logo could be painted on their own.
Build and assembly
Step 4 of 5
Then the airbrush: yellow and white noodles, orange prawns with darker banding, a green lime and dark red chilli, matched by eye to the brand's image.
The final build
Step 5 of 5
The finished plate: a twirl of noodles lifted on chopsticks and a fork, prawns and lime around it, and the Shiok Hokkien Mee logo on the black rim.
