We offer laser engraving and laser cutting services in-house at our Bendemeer studio in Singapore. Custom laser engraving puts a permanent mark on something that’s already made: a logo on a tumbler, a name on an award, a message on a gift. Laser cutting turns sheet acrylic, wood, card, leather, felt, foam and fabric into letters, panels, inserts and parts. Both start from your artwork in one studio, and we quote within the same business day.

Laser engraving

An engraved mark is in the surface, not printed or stuck on top, so it can’t peel, fade or wash off. That’s why it’s the go-to for anything that gets handled every day or has to last.

What we engrave

  • Drinkware: stainless steel and aluminium tumblers, flasks, bottles and glasses.
  • Metal: anodised aluminium and coated or stainless steel, for plates, tags and finished products. On powder-coated steel the laser burns through the coating to the bright metal beneath, so a name reads crisply.
  • Acrylic: clear, frosted and coloured stock for signage, plaques and display pieces.
  • Wood, plywood and MDF: high-contrast marks for gifts, awards and model parts.
  • Leather: tags, personalised goods and keepsakes.

Surface, deep, tonal and wrap-around

Surface engraving marks the top layer for a clean, precise graphic. Deep engraving cuts further into the material, so the mark has relief you can feel. Tonal engraving works from a high-resolution greyscale image, marking darker areas more heavily, which is how a photo goes onto a bottle. And for anything round, a rotary attachment turns the piece under the laser so the engraving wraps evenly around the curve without stretching.

Laser cutting

Laser cutting handles the jobs 3D printing can’t: flat sheet stock, large panels, intricate paper artwork, and fretwork too fine to cut by hand.

Acrylic, wood and sheet stock

Acrylic comes clear, frosted and in the full Pantone range from 3 mm to 25 mm, with flame-polished edges available for a premium finish on signage and display pieces. Plywood and MDF run from 3 mm to 12 mm for model bases, fixtures, fretwork and packaging inserts, and we also cut paper, card and leather for invitations, tags and templates. Cuts hold ±0.1 mm with a tight kerf and no scorch on the visible face. Our laser cutting materials guide compares every sheet we cut.

Felt, foam and fabric: soft parts with clean edges

We cut felt, EVA and PE foam, and fabric for case inserts, gaskets, padding, liners and patches. On synthetic felt and fabric the cut edge melts and seals, so it does not fray the way a scissor cut does, and foam comes out with a smooth edge and no crumbs. Tell us the material and its thickness, and send a sample if you have one.

Metal plate: cut through our sheet metal service

Our laser engraves metal but does not cut it. Metal plate is laser cut through our sheet metal service, up to 60 mm in stainless or mild steel, 40 mm in aluminium and 15 mm in brass or copper, and it can be bent into brackets, trays and enclosures in the same job.

Architectural and scale model parts

Laser cutting is how we make the flat parts behind many of our scale models: contour-cut baseboards, facade panels, railings and fine fretwork that would be slow or imprecise any other way. We work from your CAD or drawings, and because we design, cut, print, paint and assemble under one roof, the cut parts arrive matched to the rest of the model.

Cut and engrave in one run

A sign cut to shape with etched lettering, or a plaque cut out and marked at the same time, goes through as one file with cut and engrave layers. The cutting and the engraving are charged separately, because engraving takes much longer on the machine. How we make it

  1. Artwork prep

    Send a vector file (DXF, AI, SVG or PDF) with text converted to outlines and clear cut and engrave layers, or a high-resolution greyscale image for tonal engraving. We check every file and flag anything that won't run clean.

  2. Material and item check

    Acrylic, plywood, MDF, card, leather, felt, foam or fabric to cut; anodised aluminium or coated and stainless steel to engrave; as sheet stock or a finished product such as a tumbler. We confirm the material, the thickness and the engraving area before anything runs.

  3. Engrave or cut

    The laser engraves and cuts to ±0.1 mm. Flat work runs on the bed; tumblers, bottles and other round pieces spin on a rotary attachment so the mark wraps evenly, with no scorch on the visible face.

  4. Pack and deliver

    Pieces are masked or interleaved so nothing scratches, and engraved gifts are boxed ready to hand over. Same-day pickup from Bendemeer for local jobs, or courier islandwide.

How much does laser engraving cost in Singapore?

Engraving is priced by the area engraved and the depth or detail it needs, so a single name on a tumbler costs far less than a tray of densely engraved name tags. It's charged separately from any cutting, because engraving takes much longer on the laser. Send your artwork, or a photo of the item you want marked, and we come back with a firm price the same business day. Volume discounts start at 10 units, which is where most corporate gift and event runs sit.

How much does laser cutting cost in Singapore?

Laser cutting is priced per A4 piece and scales with the material, its thickness and how intricate the cut path is. Any engraving on the piece is charged on top. Send your vector file and we quote the same business day. Current rates are on our pricing page.

What can you laser engrave?

Acrylic, wood, plywood and MDF, leather, anodised aluminium, and coated and stainless steel, plus round drinkware such as tumblers, bottles and glasses on a rotary attachment. Marks can be deep or at the surface, depending on the material and the look you want. If you're not sure an item will take an engraving, send a photo and we'll confirm before quoting.

Can you engrave tumblers, bottles and other drinkware?

Yes. Stainless steel and aluminium tumblers, flasks, bottles and glasses all engrave well. A rotary attachment turns the piece under the laser so the mark wraps evenly around the curve, and the result is permanent and dishwasher-safe, which is why engraved drinkware is a staple for corporate gifts and event giveaways. Send your logo as a vector plus the cup model or a sample.

Can you engrave a photo or shaded artwork?

Yes. Send a high-resolution greyscale image and we engrave it tonally, marking darker areas more heavily than lighter ones. For text, logos and monograms, a vector file with text converted to outlines gives the crispest result.

Is laser etching the same as laser engraving?

Most people use the two words for the same thing. Either way the laser marks the surface itself, so the mark can't peel or wash off. Tell us the item and the look you want, and we'll say whether a light surface mark or a deeper engraving suits it.
