At Additive Inn, our 3D printing studio in Singapore, we made 60 awards and gift boxes for Bando's 45th anniversary. Bando wanted its product, a toothed belt on a pulley, at the centre, with real gold set in and each base named for its recipient.

Design

Step 2 of 5

We designed the award and its gift box in 3D, in Bando's own logo and typeface: a clear panel on a black base, the belt round a pulley, and a gold BANDO bar in front. The box holds the award upright in a foam-lined tray.

Production

Step 3 of 5

We laser cut the clear panels and black bases for all 60 awards and engraved the wording into each panel. Every belt was 3D printed with its teeth and split end, ready to wrap round its pulley.

Build and assembly

Step 4 of 5

We fitted the belt and pulley to each panel, set it in its base and framed the gold BANDO bar in clear acrylic. Each base was engraved with its recipient's name, and Bando checked the finished awards with us on 23/10/2025.

    Before delivery, we changed the clear pulley to silver, as in the design.

The final build

Step 5 of 5

Each award comes with a black BANDO Singapore gift box and a red-edged foam tray. The belt wraps a silver pulley on clear acrylic, above the gold bar and the recipient's name.
