The brief
Step 1 of 4
- Frame
- A triangle of three arms
- Centre
- A round seat where the arms meet
- Feet
- Three, adjustable by hand
At Additive Inn, our 3D printing studio in Singapore, we 3D printed a golf alignment tool: a three-footed frame that stands level on the turf, with a round seat in the middle.
Production
Step 2 of 4
We printed the frame in a speckled dark grey on our FDM printers, with a slot along each arm and a round seat at the centre. The feet were printed separately in red, each a threaded screw with a knurled knob.
Build and assembly
Step 3 of 4
A red foot screws through each corner of the frame, its thread showing above and its knurled knob below, so each corner can be raised or lowered.
The final build
Step 4 of 4
The finished tool stands on three red feet on the turf, with the round seat held at the centre of the frame.
