For the Latham Corporate Padel Tournament, Singapore Padel wanted a trophy with real presence, so we started with an actual padel racket and turned it into something that looks like it belongs on a mantelpiece.
How we made it
We primed the real racket, then had one of our artists hand-paint it to an aged, antique-bronze finish, mottled and burnished so it reads like a cast heirloom rather than a modern paddle. The base was 3D-printed and post-processed to a smooth, gallery-clean surface, finished in black with a white acrylic plate.
That plate is a winners’ area: because the tournament runs every year, each year’s champions can be added to the same trophy, so it grows into a record of the event rather than a one-off.
The result is a perpetual trophy that turns a familiar racket into a genuine talking piece.
