A scale model of the Interasia Transcend, a Singapore-flagged container ship (IMO 9993858), built fully loaded: a navy hull with a red waterline on its nameplate base, the deck packed with containers in Interasia’s red, white and navy livery, and the white bridge house standing at the stern.
How we made it
We 3D-printed the whole vessel on FDM, from the hull and bridge down to the hundreds of individual containers that fill the deck. The hull was finished in Interasia’s navy and red, and the containers arranged in the line’s red, white and navy checkerboard, block by block, so the loadout reads correctly from every angle.
The finer detail is printed on. The foredeck’s mooring gear, hatches and markings were UV-printed straight onto the deck, and the base carries a UV-printed nameplate with the vessel’s name, IMO number and Singapore registry. The gallery includes an early build shot: the bare hull with its cell-guide posts, the vertical rails that locate each container stack, before loading began.
