- Use
- Cosplay prop and display piece
- Moving part
- A blade that folds into the handle
At Additive Inn, our 3D printing studio in Singapore, we made a fan-made prop of a yellow folding knife from Valorant. It needed the game's colours and a blade that really folds into the handle.
Production
Step 2 of 4
The knife was 3D printed by FDM in yellow, white and black, so each colour is the plastic itself. The print lines show close up on the yellow blade.
Build and assembly
Step 3 of 4
The parts were fitted so the blade swings on its pivot, then the fold was tested by hand: open, shut and open again.
The final build
Step 4 of 4
The finished knife opens and closes by hand and hangs on a black display stand when it is not in use.
