Temple Vajra, Redesigned

When a temple’s ritual vajra broke, they came to us for a replacement. We did more than remake it: working with the temple, we redesigned the piece, keeping the traditional double-ended vajra form and crowning it with a fully sculpted dragon head. The new sceptre was 3D printed in resin and electroplated in mirror gold, ready to take its place back in ceremony.

A replacement that became an upgrade

Rebuilding a broken artefact is a chance to improve it. The classic elements stay: the ringed prongs, the lotus collars, the beaded bands. Flowing out of one end is the new dragon, its mane, horns and whiskers modelled strand by strand. Digital sculpting is what made the upgrade possible: the design could be reviewed and refined on screen with the temple before anything was made.

Printed in resin, finished in gold

The whole sceptre was resin printed to hold that sculpted detail, then electroplated in polished gold. Plating deposits real metal onto the print, so every scale and flame line carries a true mirror finish that reads as solid gold in the hand. It is a respectful piece of work for a sacred setting: a broken original returned as something stronger, sharper and built to last.
