What we brought
What we can do
It fits the kiosk they already have
The holder clamps onto the existing tablet stand, so nothing on the wall had to change.
How we look after you
The decal does the explaining
We tried 13 layouts in the client's colours and typeface, so a customer sees at once where the ticket goes.
What you get
Fewer parts in the second revision
The revised holder sits under the screen in 10 parts instead of 13, held by four screws.

The brief

- Fits
- The client's existing wall-mounted tablet kiosk
- Our scope
- 3D design for manufacture, two revisions, one white PLA print
At Additive Inn, our 3D printing studio in Singapore, we designed a ticket holder for Singapore Pools. It clips onto the stand of a wall-mounted tablet kiosk and shows customers where to place their ticket so it can be scanned.
Ideas for the form and the decal
Step 2 of 6
We started with sketches and simple models of how the holder could grip the stand, then laid out 13 decal designs in the client's colours and typeface to guide the ticket to the right place.
Two revisions
Step 3 of 6
The first design held the ticket on a plate clamped to the stand's arm. The revised design moved the holder under the screen and cut the parts from 13 to 10.

Revision 0
A plate clamped to the stand's arm with a TPU sleeve for grip: the printed decal under clear acrylic, a PLA mount and six M4 screws, 13 parts, 219 mm long.

Revision 1
The holder moved under the screen and clamps to the bend of the stand so it cannot turn: 10 parts, four M3 screws, 195 by 198 mm and 104 mm tall.

The print
Step 4 of 6
We printed one holder in white PLA in our studio.
How it goes together
Step 5 of 6
The holder closes around the stand with standard screws, and the printed decal sits under a clear acrylic cover.
The final build
Step 6 of 6
Singapore Pools received the 3D files of the holder and a white PLA print of it.
