What we brought
What we can do
Modelled from their own samples
POLWEL handed us a sample set. We modelled every prop again in CAD and left off details that only made printing harder, such as a small tab on the sign posts.
How we look after you
Colour printed, not painted
The black lettering and borders on the signs and the orange and white bands on the cones are printed in colour. No sanding, no paint.
What you get
Twenty sets that match
All 20 sets share one scale and one set of colours, so every set in the training room looks the same.

- Our scope
- CAD models from the samples, a design deck and printing all 20 sets
At Additive Inn, our 3D printing studio in Singapore, we designed and printed 20 sets of miniature traffic safety props for POLWEL. The props are for display and demonstration in an indoor training room.
POLWEL handed us a physical sample set to work from. Each set needed water barriers, two road signs on posts, Road Work Ahead and Center Lane Closed Ahead, traffic cones, cars in red and yellow, and officer figures.

Step 2 of 5 · 08/05/2026
We modelled each prop from the samples. Before drawing, we checked one detail with the client: a small tab at the top of each sign post. It was not needed, so we left it off, which made the posts simpler to print.
The design deck named every prop and its colour, so the client could see the whole set before we printed it.

All six props drawn and coloured: orange signs on grey posts, white officer figures, red and yellow cars with black wheels, red and white water barriers, and cones that take their orange and white bands in production. Close-ups show where a sign meets its post, how the water barriers join and a car wheel.

Revision 1 · 13/05/2026
At the client's request, the officer figure got a face, with eyes, nose, mouth and eyebrows, and the Center Lane Closed Ahead sign got a black border to match the Road Work Ahead sign. The client approved it the same day.

Step 3 of 5 · 14/05/2026
We started printing the day after approval, in PLA, with a full build plate of one prop at a time: rows of cones with their orange and white bands, plates of Road Work Ahead signs with the black lettering printed in, and plates of white officer figures.
Clean-up and packing
Step 4 of 5 · 26/05/2026
Every print was cleaned up by hand. The props were then sorted by type and bagged, ready for collection.
The final build
Step 5 of 5
POLWEL collected the 20 sets from our studio for its training room. Each set has its signs, cones, water barriers, cars and officer figures, printed in the colours agreed in the deck.
