3D printed alarm clock stand for the Google Nest Mini

Our own design: an orange 3D printed stand that turns a Google Nest Mini smart speaker into a classic twin-bell alarm clock.

How it is made
Four FDM-printed parts that push together by hand

What we brought

  1. What we can do

We design around the device you already own

The ring is shaped to the Nest Mini, so the speaker presses in and stands upright without tools.

  2. How we look after you

Designed, printed and assembled in our studio

We drew the stand, printed every part on our own FDM printers and put it together ourselves.

  3. What you get

A smart speaker that looks like a clock

Twin bells, a handle and splayed feet turn a plain fabric puck into a desk piece.

The speaker presses in by hand, no tools

At Additive Inn, our 3D printing studio in Singapore, we set out to turn the Google Nest Mini, a round smart speaker that usually lies flat, into a desk piece: a stand that holds it upright as the face of a classic twin-bell alarm clock.

Production

Step 2 of 4

The ring, handle and both bells were FDM printed in orange on our own printers. The feet are printed as part of the ring, so the stand sits steady on a desk.

Build and assembly

Step 3 of 4

The handle and the two bells push onto the top of the ring, then the speaker presses into the ring from the front. It all goes together by hand.

The final build

Step 4 of 4

The finished stand turns the Nest Mini into a bright orange twin-bell alarm clock, upright on its feet with the fabric face forward, ready for a desk or bedside table.
