- Use
- An annual football award
At Additive Inn, our 3D printing studio in Singapore, we made a memorial football award for a private client. They needed a perpetual trophy that records a winner each year, and smaller keepsakes for the winners, all based on a concept image they supplied.
Design and prototyping
Step 2 of 5
We sculpted two players in a sliding tackle in 3D, following the client's concept image, and set them on granite bases. The perpetual trophy carries a title plate and winner plates; the keepsakes are smaller, in silver.

Step 3 of 5
The sculptures were printed in SLA resin, with a metal rod through the perpetual trophy for strength. The perpetual trophy was airbrushed in antique brass with a green patina, the keepsakes in antiqued silver, all under a satin clear coat.
Build and assembly
Step 4 of 5
Each sculpture was fixed to its green granite base, and the engraved title plates went on the front. Each keepsake also comes with a blank name plate, for engraving locally.

Step 5 of 5
The finished set: one perpetual trophy that records a winner each year, and three silver keepsakes for the winners to keep.
