At Additive Inn, our 3D printing studio in Singapore, we made a seated witch figurine, 3D printed in resin. The piece needed fine detail in a knitted shawl and long hair, and a wide-brimmed hat that could come off.

Production

Step 2 of 4

The figure and her hat were printed as two parts in grey resin, fine enough to show each loop of the shawl and every fold of the robe.

Build and assembly

Step 3 of 4

The hat needs no glue. It drops onto her head, its brim resting on the shawl, and lifts off again.

With the hat on, only her folded hands show under the brim. With it off, her face and long hair are on view.
