At Additive Inn, our 3D printing studio in Singapore, we 3D printed a fan badge: the pixel dinosaur from the browser's offline page, set in a Jurassic Park-style crest. It needed sharp pixel edges, bold colours and lettering that reads at a glance.
Production
Step 2 of 4
The badge was FDM printed in four colours. The red and black faces carry a fine texture, and the white letters sit below the black banner with red showing through their gaps.
The layers
Step 3 of 4
Each colour sits at its own height: the yellow rim at the back, then the red disc, then the black dinosaur and banner on top, with the white letters set into the banner.
The final build
Step 4 of 4
The finished badge makes a desk piece for anyone who has met the offline dinosaur. The colours stay bold and the pixel edges stay crisp from every angle.
