What we brought

  1. What we can do

    Pockets with ledges and slots

Each pocket has its own ledge inside and its own slot down the front wall.

  2. How we look after you

    One row, one footprint

Four pockets share one body and one base plate, so the whole row stands as a single unit.

  3. What you get

    A steady footing

A broad flat base plate runs under the thick printed walls, wider than the body on every side.

The brief

Step 1 of 4

Pockets
Four, side by side
Slots
One down the front wall of each pocket
Base
A flat plate wider than the body

At Additive Inn, our 3D printing studio in Singapore, we 3D printed a holder that keeps four round items upright in a row, with a slot at each one and a base wide enough to stand steady.

Production

Step 2 of 4

We printed the holder in black on our FDM printers. Each pocket has a stepped ledge inside, and the slots run from the top edge down the front wall, open into the pockets.

Ready to use

Step 3 of 4

There is no lid, hinge or moving part to fit. The holder stands on its base plate, which reaches out beyond the walls on every side.

The base plate reaches past the walls.

The final build

Step 4 of 4

A single black unit: four round pockets in a row, each with its own slot, on one flat base.
