What we brought

  1. What we can do

    Sharp tapers and crisp cut-outs

Fine SLA resin holds the tapering faces and every square cut-out cleanly, a sound surface for plating.

  2. How we look after you

Your own design, made as drawn

Crest sent its own 3D files; they were printed as drawn, in the resin its teacher asked for.

  3. What you get

    Gold inside and out

The urn is plated inside as well as out, so the cut-outs catch the light from every side.

Files supplied
STL and CAD model from the school

At Additive Inn, our 3D printing studio in Singapore, we made Crest Secondary School's Beacon of Hope trophy in mirror gold. The school sent its own 3D files and asked for it to be printed in ABS-like resin by SLA.

The trophy was printed hollow in white ABS-like resin by SLA, which keeps the tapering faces flat and every square cut-out crisp.

Finishing

Step 3 of 4

We electroplated the trophy in mirror gold, inside the urn as well as out, so the cut-outs read cleanly from every side.
