What we brought
What we can do
From a pencil sketch to a cut file
The client sent a hand sketch with the sizes in millimetres. We drew it up as a laser cutting file, so they needed no CAD file of their own.
How we look after you
A sample before the batch
We cut one sample panel the day the request came in, so the client could try it on the machine before ordering more.
What you get
Twenty panels the same day
Once the client confirmed the final border sizes, the 20 panels were laser cut and packed for collection that afternoon.

- Our scope
- The cut file, one sample and 20 panels
At Additive Inn, our 3D printing studio in Singapore, we laser cut 20 cover panels for RVM Systems. Each one is a flat black frame that covers an opening in the client's machine, with a 74 by 62 mm window, drawn from a sketch the client sent us. The client first asked about a 3D print in the most economical material. As the panel is flat, we cut it from acrylic sheet instead.
From sketch to cut file
Step 2 of 5 · 11/06/2026
We turned the sketch into a laser cutting file. The client tried a sample on the machine, then sent the final border sizes for the batch. The window stayed the same.
-
Sample · 11/06/2026
A 74 by 62 mm window with a 10 mm border all round, 94 by 82 mm overall.
-
Final sizes · 12/06/2026
The same 74 by 62 mm window with a wider border: 15 mm at the sides and 25 mm at the top and bottom.

Laser cutting
Step 3 of 5 · 15/06/2026
We cut the sample from 3 mm matte black acrylic on the day the request came in, 11/06/2026. With the final sizes confirmed, we cut the 20 panels on 15/06/2026.
Packed for collection
Step 4 of 5 · 15/06/2026
Each panel comes off the laser cutter in one piece, so there was nothing to put together. We packed the 20 panels in a bag labelled for RVM Systems to collect from our studio.
The final build
Step 5 of 5 · 15/06/2026
RVM Systems got 20 matte black acrylic panels at the final sizes, each with the same 74 by 62 mm window, cut and packed on the day they confirmed the order.
