At Additive Inn, our 3D printing studio in Singapore, we 3D printed the Guy Fawkes mask made famous by V for Vendetta. It needed the mask's raised cheeks, arched brows and wide grin, a smooth face and open eye holes.
Production
Step 2 of 4
The mask is a single curved shell, 3D printed with the eye holes open and the brows, moustache and beard raised from the face. The face came out smooth, with no print lines showing.
Painting
Step 3 of 4
The brows, moustache and pointed beard were painted black by hand. A second mask was painted with pink cheeks and red lips as well.
The final build
Step 4 of 4
The finished mask holds its famous face under any light: a smooth off-white shell, a black grin and brows, and open eyes.
