What we brought
What we can do
We design from the device you bring
We measured Fonda's dome camera itself and drew the shield to sit on its base, clear of the dome.
How we look after you
Designed to print well, not just look right
We angled the foot at 45° and split the ring into segments, so each piece prints cleanly.
What you get
One part, three levels of privacy
One 120° segment shades one side; two or three cover more, with the screw holes still reachable.

The brief
Step 1 of 6 · 19/03/2026
- Starting point
- The camera itself, with no drawings
- Scope
- A 3D design made for manufacturing, with two rounds of changes
- Sample
- One printed sample to try on the camera
At Additive Inn, our 3D printing studio in Singapore, we designed a privacy shield for a dome security camera for Fonda Global Engineering. Fonda brought the camera to our studio and needed a cover that blocks part of its view.
Concept
Step 2 of 6 · 26/03/2026
After meeting Fonda's team at our studio on 24/03/2026, we modelled the camera and a first idea: a curved wall standing on a ring that sits on the camera's base.
Design & prototyping
Step 3 of 6 · 31/03/2026
We drew the shield 66 mm tall around the dome, fixed with industrial double-sided tape so the camera needs no new holes. Fonda reviewed each round.

First design · 31/03/2026
A 137 mm ring under one 120° wall, taped to the camera's base.

Second design
Separate 120° segments, one to three per camera, with notches that keep the screw holes clear.

Production
Step 4 of 6 · 20/04/2026
We 3D printed the sample segment in white PETG in our studio, with the foot angled at 45° so the joint between foot and wall prints cleanly.
Build & assembly
Step 5 of 6
We fitted the segment on Fonda's camera with its notch lined up on the camera's screw hole, so installers can still reach it. On site it fixes with industrial double-sided tape.
The final build
Step 6 of 6 · 27/04/2026
Fonda reviewed the printed sample on the camera at our studio on 27/04/2026. One segment shades 120° of the view; two or three cover more, from the same printed part.
