How we built it

The brief
Step 1 of 4
At Additive Inn, our 3D printing studio in Singapore, we made a 24 cm replica of the Congress Cup for the Football Association of Singapore. FAS wanted a smaller copy of its metal trophy, ornament and all, in a clear display case.
Production
Step 2 of 4
We modelled the replica from the original metal cup at half its height, keeping the finial, scrolled handles and both leaf bands, then 3D printed it with that fine relief crisp.
Build & assembly
Step 3 of 4
We finished the cup in matte gold and set it on a black base under a clear acrylic case. At FAS's request we added an engraved plate for the case.

The replica went to FAS in its case: matte gold ornament on a black base, ready to display.
