How long will my order take?

Most orders go from confirmed to ready in 5 to 7 working days. A free quote comes back inside 24 hours, usually the same business day, and small simple jobs can move faster than the standard week. The honest answer for any specific part depends on a few things: the process, the size, how much finishing you want, and how many you need. Here is how each of those changes the clock, and how to get your part in hand sooner.

The standard timeline

For a typical order the steps run like this:

• Quote: about 24 hours, often same day. Upload your STL or STEP at the instant quote tool for a price in seconds with no email gate, or send a brief for anything that needs a manual review.
• Production: 5 to 7 working days once you confirm and pay. Small, simple FDM or SLA parts in low quantities can finish in 2 to 4 working days when the printers are free.
• Collection: self-collect at our studio at 994 Bendemeer Road #07-06, or islandwide courier.

The clock starts when the order is confirmed, not when you first ask. Confirming quickly is the single biggest thing in your control.

What drives the lead time

The process. FDM (S$0.10 to 0.30 per gram) and SLA resin (S$0.30 to 0.80 per gram) are the everyday workhorses and fit the standard week. SLS nylon (S$0.50 to 1.50 per gram) runs in batches, so timing depends on the queue. CNC parts (from S$80) and silicone-cast runs (mould from S$300) sit outside the simple print timeline.

The size. A part over 30cm can be a full day or two of pure print time on its own. Big architectural and scale models are the usual reason a job runs past a week.

The finishing. A raw print is quick. Adding colour and metal finishes adds real days for prep and cure. As a rough guide per hand-sized part: sand and primer S$15 to 30, spray plus topcoat S$30 to 80, airbrush detailing S$40 to 120, and electroplating S$60 to 100 for chrome or copper, S$100 to 180 for gold or antique. Electroplated and painted finishes typically add 2 to 4 days for cure time.

The quantity. One part prints once. Fifty identical parts queue across machines. Volume runs of 50 plus take longer to produce, though they earn discounts (about 10% at 10 to 24 units, 20% at 25 to 99, 30% at 100 to 499).

Rush options

We keep rush capacity for awards and presentation pieces, because deadlines there are fixed. We have turned custom trophies in 48 hours when the alternative was no trophy at all. For other jobs, a small simple FDM part with no support and no finishing can sometimes turn around within 24 hours if a printer is free. SLA same-day is harder because of the post-cure cycle. Always tell us the deadline up front so we can confirm it is real before you pay.

How to speed your order up

You can shave days off without paying for a rush:

• Send clean files. A watertight, print-ready STL or STEP skips the repair step. Broken meshes and non-manifold geometry cost a day before anything prints.
• Confirm fast. Approve the quote and pay the same day. A job sitting unconfirmed for three days is a job that finishes three days late.
• Strip back the finishing. If the deadline is tight, a sanded-and-primed part is ready far sooner than an electroplated one. Add the metal finish on a later batch.
• State the deadline early. Tell us the date at quote time, not after. We will say honestly whether it fits, and a 10 minute conversation about scope often saves a week.
