A 3D sculpt full of character
We sculpted the soft swirls, drips, cones and bobbled mound in 3D and printed them to hold every curve.

We modelled the whole trophy in colour, name block included, so the look was clear before printing.

At Additive Inn, our 3D printing studio in Singapore, we made a melting soft-serve cake trophy for Supercoach Academy. They needed a playful pastel trophy carrying the academy's name and the year, 2024.

Design & prototyping

Step 2 of 5

We sculpted the whole piece in 3D at 125 mm tall: a soft-serve swirl melting over a cake, with a lollipop, a balloon and two clouds on rods. We then rendered it in colour, name block included, before printing.

The first sculpt, in grey.

We added pastel colour, with a pearl-white swirl over pink, mint and blue drips.

We striped the balloon, gave the lollipop a rainbow spiral and added the gold-lettered name block.

Production

Step 3 of 5

We 3D printed the trophy in parts: the melting cake and its pastel island, the cones and drops, the lollipop, the balloon and the two clouds.

Build & assembly

Step 4 of 5

We painted each part in matt pastel pink, mint, sky blue and lilac, with a pearl sheen on the swirl, raised the balloon and clouds on clear rods and mounted it all on a glossy black base.

The final build

The finished trophy follows the render, with a spotted balloon and a rainbow lollipop. It stands on a mirror-black base that reflects the drips, with the Supercoach Academy 2024 name block in front.
