At Additive Inn, our 3D printing studio in Singapore, we made an ORD frame for the Singapore Army's 3rd Singapore Division. It marks LCP Suwandi bin Daani's operationally ready date (ORD), 19/06/1986, with his rank, appointment and unit in one frame.
Design & prototyping
Step 2 of 5
We laid out the backing artwork to the frame's size: the 3rd Singapore Division crest and the Army logo across the top, an open space for the rank slide, and a green band below with the soldier's name, appointment, unit and ORD date.
Production
Step 3 of 5
We 3D printed the rank slide in green, with the rank insignia and SINGAPURA raised in black, so the rank reads in relief rather than as a flat print.
Build & assembly
Step 4 of 5
We mounted the slide on a white backing carrying the 3rd Singapore Division crest and the Army logo, set the soldier's details on a green card below and closed it all in a white shadow box with a stand.
The final build

The finished frame stands on its own: the green rank slide at the centre, the crest and Army logo above, and LCP Suwandi bin Daani's name, unit and ORD date below.
