The brief
Step 1 of 4
At Additive Inn, our 3D printing studio in Singapore, we made a gold star trophy as our own sample. We set out to print a cartoon star with two black eyes, standing on a round base, with every colour coming straight from the printer.
Production
Step 2 of 4
We 3D printed the star in shiny gold filament with its two eyes in black, set into the face, and the base in black with a bronze top. The colours come from the filament itself, so nothing needed painting.
Build & assembly
Step 3 of 4
The star's tapered stem sits in a socket in the base, so the trophy stands upright on its own.
