What we brought
What we can do
The inside on show
Each shell is cut open to reveal a red tube bundle, with hollow tubes joined to the tube sheet.
How we look after you
Sampled until your team signs off
We revised the sample against the model they already had until their management approved it.
What you get
Fifty that match, ready to collect
All 50 were collected on 29/05/2025, each packed individually with its own base.

The build
How we built it
5 steps, from the brief to the finished piece. Pick a step to jump to it.
The brief
Step 1 of 5 · 12/08/2024
At Additive Inn, our 3D printing studio in Singapore, we made 50 cutaway heat exchanger models for Mun Siong Engineering. They wanted a miniature of the real exchanger as it looks taken apart, matching a grey model they already had.
Design & prototyping
Step 2 of 5 · 09/09/2024
We modelled the exchanger in 3D and printed a first sample. Their team compared each sample with their grey reference model and sent changes until their management approved it on 03/03/2025.
-
First sample feedback · 24/01/2025
Hollow tubes joined to the tube sheet, like their reference, so a cut tube shows it is hollow.
-
Second sample feedback · 19/02/2025
Holes sized like the reference, and nuts glued in so nothing falls out when unscrewed.
Production
Step 3 of 5 · 03/03/2025
With the sample approved, we printed the other 49 exchangers: black shells cut open to show the red tube bundle inside. One finished piece went to their team on 21/04/2025 to check against the approved sample.
Build & assembly
Step 4 of 5
Their team put the bases on hold at first, after finding the allen-key holes slightly tight on the sample. For collection, each exchanger was packed individually with its base.
The final build
Step 5 of 5 · 29/05/2025
Mun Siong collected all 50 models from our studio on 29/05/2025: matching black exchangers, each cut open to show its red tube bundle.
