The brief
Step 1 of 4
At Additive Inn, our 3D printing studio in Singapore, we print tabletop and display miniatures in resin. Gamers and collectors need detail that holds at the size of a coin: faces, lute strings, lettering on armour.
Production
Step 2 of 4
Each miniature was printed in resin on a lattice of supports, tilted to carry its overhangs. Grey, dark grey and salmon-orange resins were used across the collection.
Build and assembly
Step 3 of 4
The supports were removed and every part cleaned. Larger kits were printed in pieces, a long sword, shoulder pads and a spiked ring, then bagged part by part.
The final build
Step 4 of 4
The finished prints, from a lizard bard with his lute to a goblin swordsman and a dancer in flowing robes, several shown beside a coin for scale. Some went on to be painted by hand: a squad of four soldiers, two brutes on blue-rimmed bases and a cloaked display figure.
