The brief
Step 1 of 4
At Additive Inn, our 3D printing studio in Singapore, we made a painted tabletop miniature of a paladin character designed online. The need: a print fine enough to paint, finished in the design's own colours.
Production
Step 2 of 4
The paladin was 3D printed in grey resin, standing on a round base. The sword's flame, the shield's markings and the helmet at his feet came out sharp enough to paint.
Priming and painting
Step 3 of 4
The print was primed, then painted by hand to the design: black armour edged in red, a gold shield and belt fittings, a red grip and flames up the blade.
The final build
Step 4 of 4
Finished, the miniature follows the design from every side, down to the helmet on its base and the cape behind.
