We printed MINI's Union Jack as a raised emblem, crisp at every rounded corner, and coated it in metallic silver.

At Additive Inn, our 3D printing studio in Singapore, we made a MINI award for the opening of a MINI Retail.Next showroom. It needed the brand's Union Jack graphic in a clean geometric form, with the occasion engraved beneath.
Production
Step 2 of 4
We 3D printed the Union Jack emblem in high resolution for sharp, even strokes, and made the acrylic parts: a clear panel to float it on, a green-tinted block and a black plinth.
Build and assembly
Step 3 of 4
We finished the emblem in metallic silver and mounted it on the clear panel. We engraved the plate with the MINI wings and the opening message, fixed it to the green block on the black plinth, and fitted a clear acrylic cover.
The final build
Step 4 of 4
Finished, the silver emblem seems to float above the green base, and the whole award sits under its clear acrylic cover on the black plinth.
