What we brought
What we can do
We model a part from the worn original
We measured the old latch arm and modelled every notch, rail and step in CAD from the part itself.
How we look after you
One part is worth making
A single replacement is a normal job for us, with no minimum order and no tooling to pay for.
What you get
A copy shaped like the original
The printed arm carries the same profile, notches and square catch as the original, ready to go back in.

- The worn original latch arm

At Additive Inn, our 3D printing studio in Singapore, we make one-off replacement parts. A client needed a new latch arm for their motorcycle box, copied from the worn original so it would fit and lock the same way.
Measuring and modelling
Step 2 of 5
We measured the original arm and rebuilt it in CAD: the long notched arm, the raised rails along it and the square catch at one end. The model let us check every slot before printing.
Production
Step 3 of 5
We printed the new arm in one piece in black on our FDM printers, laid flat so the long, thin arm stays straight along its length.
Finishing and checks
Step 4 of 5
We cleaned up the print and checked it against the original, matching the notches, rails and catch so the arm would slide and lock as before.
The final build
Step 5 of 5
The client received a replacement latch arm shaped like the original, ready to go back into their motorcycle box.
