At Additive Inn, our 3D printing studio in Singapore, we made name badges for Arcade Studio. They needed team badges shaped like a game controller, from a controller image they sent, some blank and some named.
Production
Step 2 of 4 · 31/08/2021
We modelled the controller from their image and FDM printed the badges in silver grey PLA+. Partway up, the print paused and a magnet went into the round pocket in each badge, then the top was printed over it.
Build and assembly
Step 3 of 4
With the magnets sealed inside, each badge came off the bed finished. We lifted them off the print bed with a scraper and stacked them.
