A client came to us with a working Raspberry Pi GPS build, a Pi stacked with a battery-power HAT and interface boards, and no home for it. We designed a custom enclosure around the exact stack and resin printed it, turning a bundle of boards into a tidy unit that can sit on a desk or be carried around.

Designed around the boards

The case is modelled to the millimetre around the stack: cutouts land exactly on the USB, Ethernet and charging ports, the lid carries heatsink-style fins for passive airflow, and a subtle aeroplane motif is embossed into the side panel. The two halves close over the boards so the electronics stay protected while every connector stays reachable.

How we made it

We measured the assembled stack, modelled the enclosure and resin printed it for the smooth, even walls a close-fitting case needs. After test-fitting, the boards mount inside and the case closes into a compact white box, with the fins doing double duty as styling and ventilation. It is the fastest way to take a working prototype from bare boards to something you can hand to a stakeholder.
