Your printer works. Now you want prints that come out stronger, cleaner and faster, in the right plastic for the job, without the stringy, warped or half-finished ones in between.
In two hours we go through the slicer settings that matter, the materials worth knowing, multi-colour printing, and how to read a failed print so you know exactly what to change. It’s what we’ve learned running a print farm every day.

Frequently asked
Who is this course for?
Anyone who can already run a print (after How to 3D Print, or on a printer of your own) and wants better, stronger prints with fewer failures.
What do I need to bring?
A laptop with your slicer if you have one, though it's optional. Bring any failed print you'd like us to look at: we'll work out together what went wrong.
Which materials do you cover?
PLA, PETG, TPU and ABS/ASA: what each is good at, how they print, and which to choose for a job. You print PLA, PETG and TPU yourself in class. ABS/ASA needs an enclosed printer, so you get a ready-printed sample to take home instead. We also cover multi-colour printing.
Can I use SkillsFuture credit?
No. This course isn't listed on SkillsFuture. It's $120 a person before GST, on a date you pick and book online.
Is it part of a longer course?
Yes. It's the fifth of six bite-size courses, and all six together are the two-day Advanced 3D Printing Masterclass, $690 a person.
