What we brought
What we can do
Light through the spots
The white spots let more light through than the red cap, so each lamp glows in a spotted pattern.
How we look after you
Our name on every stem
ADDITIVE INN stands raised on every stem, printed in one with the part, with no label to peel.
What you get
A batch that matches
We printed the lamps as one batch, so the caps, spots and stems match from one lamp to the next.

The brief
Step 1 of 4
- Cap
- Red, with white spots and gills underneath
- Stem
- White, with ADDITIVE INN raised near the base
- Light
- Inside the lamp, glowing through the cap and stem
At Additive Inn, our 3D printing studio in Singapore, we designed our own mushroom table lamp. We set out to make a red cap that glows through white spots, with our name on the stem, in a design that prints the same every time.
Production
Step 2 of 4
We 3D printed each lamp as two parts, a red cap set with white spots and a white stem, and ran them as a batch so every lamp matches the next.
Fitting
Step 3 of 4
We fitted the light inside each lamp and seated the cap on its stem.
The final build
Step 4 of 4
The finished lamps glow through the red cap, the white spots and the stem, in white, warm yellow or blue, ready for a shelf, a desk or a display.
