What we brought

  1. What we can do

We model a part from the one you hand us

We measured Brandt's sample cover and rebuilt it in CAD at the new 90 mm length, ready for printing.

  2. How we look after you

We tell you the limits before we start

Brandt knew up front that the printed clips may be single-use and the finish less smooth than the original.

  3. What you get

A thousand matching covers from one file

Every cover came off the same approved file, then went into the carton in neat rows, ready to fit.

The brief

Brandt's own sample cover
Change
Length set to 90 mm
Quantity
1,000 covers
Colour
White

At Additive Inn, our 3D printing studio in Singapore, we copy parts and make them in quantity. Brandt, the home appliance maker, needed more of a snap-in fridge cover, copied from a sample they brought to our studio and made 90 mm long.

Measuring and modelling

Step 2 of 5 · 16/07/2025

We measured the sample and rebuilt it in CAD for FDM printing, with up to three rounds of changes. The part it clips into stayed with Brandt, so we planned test prints at different tolerances for them to try.

Production

Step 3 of 5 · 10/09/2025

We printed 1,000 covers in white PETG and TPU on our FDM printers, all from the one approved file. Each cover is a flat panel with four arrow-shaped clips on its back.

Packing

Step 4 of 5 · 30/09/2025

We packed the covers standing on edge in rows, clips in line, so a carton holds hundreds without them pressing on each other.

Covers packed on edge, row by row.

The final build

Step 5 of 5

Brandt received 1,000 white fridge covers made from their own sample, each with four snap-in clips, packed and ready to fit.

One cover with its four snap clips.
