Colors for 3D Printing?
When it comes to 3D printing, the material used is not the only factor to consider. Color is also an important consideration, especially if you want your final product to be aesthetically pleasing or match a specific color scheme. In this blog post, we will discuss the available colors for 3D printing.
Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM)
The most common 3D printing technology, Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM), offers a wide variety of colors. FDM printers use spools of thermoplastic material, typically PLA which are available in a range of colors.
The listed below are the available colors for PLA. Beige, Black, Dark Blue, Bone White, Brown, Cool White, Fire Engine Red, Gray, Green, Light Blue, Light Brown, Magenta, Olive Green, Orange, Peak Green, Pine Green, Pink Purple, Red, Silver, Warm White & Yellow. In addition to that we do have other splaity filaments like, Silk, Marble or Wood like filaments.
It is important to note that the color of the final product can be affected by the color of the material used, and the color may not always match the color displayed on the spool.

Stereolithography (SLA)
Stereolithography (SLA), May not Offers variety of colors, The listed below are the standard available colors for SLA. Beige, Black , Cool White & Gray. However We can mix pigments to match variety of colors that might suite your needs. It is important to note that the color of the final product can be affected by the color of the material used, and the color may not always match the color displayed on the resin.
Selective Laser Sintering (SLS)
Selective laser Sintering (SLS) Offers the lease Varity in terms of colors, The only 2 available colors are White & Black.
In instance, the available colors are not suitable for your need, we have this secondary process, Post-Processing, This offers you the flexibility to choose a color that is closer to your needs. In addition to flexibility of colors, you can further improve the surface finish of your prints.
Frequently asked
What colors can you 3D print in?
FDM PLA comes in 20+ stock colors including black, white, red, blue, green, yellow, plus specialty silk, marble, and wood-fill filaments. SLA resin is more limited — typically clear, white, grey, and a few primary colors. For brand-exact Pantone matching, we paint after printing using our spray and electroplating finishes.
Can you match a Pantone color exactly?
Yes — but not via filament. Filament colors vary batch-to-batch and won't hit Pantone targets. For brand-accurate color, we print in a base material (white PLA or grey resin), then spray-paint with Pantone-matched automotive paint or hand-airbrush. Tell us the Pantone code at quote time so we can plan the finish.
Will the printed color match the spool color?
Usually close but not identical. The printed surface looks slightly darker than the spool because of the layered deposition. Glossy filaments lose some sheen as printed (matte finish unless re-coated). For colour-critical work, we'll print a small sample first and confirm before running the full batch.
