Bambu Lab ABS Filament

Bambu Lab ABS is a heat-resistant, impact-tough 3D printer filament for engineering parts that need to survive real-world stress. Higher strength than PLA, holds up to 90°C without softening — the right choice for car interior parts, mechanical fixtures, tools, and outdoor enclosures.

Specs at a glance

• Diameter: 1.75mm (Bambu Lab calibrated)
• Print temperature: 240–270°C
• Bed temperature: 90–100°C (heated bed required)
• Enclosure: Strongly recommended (ABS warps in drafts)
• Spool size: 1kg (250g refill spools also available)

When to choose ABS over PLA

• The part will sit in a hot car or outdoor in Singapore sun
• You need it to flex without snapping under impact
• It needs to be machined, drilled, or tapped after printing
• The finished part needs acetone vapor smoothing for a glass-like surface

ABS does smell during printing — keep the printer in a ventilated area or use an enclosed printer with a HEPA filter (the Bambu Lab P1S and X1C handle this well).

Compatible printers

Works on any Bambu Lab printer with an enclosed build chamber: X1C, X1E, P1S, H2C, H2D. The A1 series is open-frame and not recommended for ABS.
