Yamaha Bike Body Panels

A complete set of replacement body panels for a Yamaha dual-sport, made with Garang Garage. They came to us with their own 3D model of the new bodywork and needed it made real, so we 3D printed the full set in ASA, finished every piece by hand and painted it in automotive-grade matte grey. Fitted to the bike, the panels give the Yamaha a clean, custom adventure look, a world away from the original plastics.

Printed in ASA, finished by hand

ASA was the right material for bodywork that lives outdoors: it holds up to sun and heat far better than standard filament, so the panels stay true on a bike that sits in the open. Straight off the printer a part still shows its layer lines, so the real work is in the finishing. We sanded and primed every panel, filling and smoothing until the printed surface reads like a moulded part, ready to take paint.

Automotive paint, fitted to the bike

The finish is automotive-grade paint in a matte grey, the same kind of coating used on cars, so it is tough and consistent across the whole set. Tank cover, side panels, radiator shrouds and fender were all sprayed to match, then fitted to the Yamaha. The result is a coherent, factory-quality body kit built from a customer’s design, printed, finished and painted in-house. It shows how 3D printing and proper finishing can turn a digital model into real, road-ready bodywork.
