Jailer Figurine

A custom figurine of Rajinikanth as “Tiger” Muthuvel Pandian from the film Jailer, caught mid-stride with a pistol in one hand and a machete in the other. The figure was 3D printed in resin, post-processed and then fully custom painted, standing on a weathered base scattered with fallen weapons and the film’s logotype.

Getting the likeness right

A recognisable face is the hardest part of any character piece, and it has to survive at a small scale. Resin printing holds the detail: the swept silver hair, the sunglasses, the beard and even the chain at the collar all come through sharply. After printing, every part was cleaned, smoothed and primed so no layer artefacts would show through the paintwork.

Painted like the poster

The finish is what sells it. The trousers were airbrushed in warm mustard gradients, the shirt in a smoky gunmetal with worn highlights, and the skin tones, watch and blade were picked out by hand. The base got the same treatment: a dusty, weathered ground with scattered guns and the raised Jailer letters brushed in white. It is a showcase of what custom painting, airbrush work and careful finishing can do on top of a clean resin print.
