How we built it

The brief
Step 1 of 4
At Additive Inn, our 3D printing studio in Singapore, we made a display model of Hydrov's hull-cleaning underwater ROV. The real machine works underwater and is too heavy to carry into a meeting, so the model does the selling.
Fabrication
Step 2 of 4
We printed the frame, housings, wheels and brackets as separate parts in Hydrov's grey and blue, with HYDROV branding on the housings.
Build and assembly
Step 3 of 4
We fitted three real brush discs on top and assembled the parts into one display-ready unit.
The final build
Step 4 of 4
Hydrov received a tabletop model of its machine, ready to put in front of clients.
The details
Guide wheels stand proud of the frame, thruster pods sit on their own brackets, and the blue HYDROV housing is tucked inside.
