Use: A thank-you gift from the team, for display

At Additive Inn, our 3D printing studio in Singapore, we made an appreciation gift for IMDA. The Planning team wanted to say thank you with the idea of a glass half full: a hand raising a real glass, with their message and names.

Design and prototyping

Step 2 of 5

We modelled the hand in 3D from the client's reference of a hand holding a half-full cup, shaping the fingers to grip a real glass. We laid out the base artwork: the team's thank-you, the sender line and all 20 names.

Production

The hand and the round base were 3D printed in PLA, in light grey with a matt finish.

Build and assembly

The thank-you message and every team member's name went on as a printed sticker wrapped around the base. The hand was set upright on top, ready for its glass.
