The brief

What the client brought: Their idea for the Magtrain UAE concept

At Additive Inn, our 3D printing studio in Singapore, we turned the client's Magtrain UAE concept train into a lit scale model on a sand base, in a clear case.

Fabrication

Step 2 of 4

We modelled the client's idea in 3D as a long white carriage with an arched window, roof fins over an open bay and a slot for its rails, then printed it.

Build and assembly

Step 3 of 4

We set the carriage over two dark rails on a sand base with a black edge, fitted lights inside so the window and bay glow, and closed it under a clear protective case.

The final build

Step 4 of 4

The finished model is a clean white train on desert sand, lit from inside and under its case, ready for the expo.
