What we brought
What we can do
We design moulds that open cleanly
Two parting lines release the runner, then the five dice. Guide pins align the plates; vents stop air traps.
How we look after you
You approve each round before we print
Sea Almond approved the scope, the first design and the refined second design in our deck before fabrication.
What you get
Your team can run it themselves
We filmed how to bolt the mould together and take it apart, and supplied the aluminium plate design to mill.

The brief
Step 1 of 5
- Quantity
- Two moulds, one cup and one dice
- Reference
- Sea Almond's physical cup and dice
- Final moulds
- High-temperature resin, for injection use
- Aluminium plate
- Milled by Sea Almond to our design
- Not included
- Production runs and finishing the moulded parts
At Additive Inn, our 3D printing studio in Singapore, we designed and 3D printed injection moulds for Sea Almond's hand press, one for a cup and one for dice. Sea Almond sent the real cup and dice, and needed moulds their own team could run.
Design & prototyping
Step 2 of 5
Each mould is a three-part stack: a cavity plate, a plate carrying the sprue and runners, and an aluminium plate on top that takes the nozzle's heat and force. The dice mould fills five dice per shot through a runner spider.

First design · 11/07/2026
Bolts replaced the clamps, and Sea Almond's idea of an aluminium plate was built into both moulds.

We split each mould into inserts and added guide pins, air vents and two parting lines so parts release cleanly.

Production
Step 3 of 5
We 3D printed the cup mould's plates in matte black, with the cavity and sprue as smooth resin inserts, so the parts are easier to make and assemble.
Build & assembly
Step 4 of 5
We bolted the cup mould together on its guide pins and filmed how to take it apart and close it again, so Sea Almond's team can do it themselves.
The final build
Step 5 of 5
Sea Almond has a cup mould that bolts together on guide pins and opens by hand, sized from their own cup. The aluminium plate is milled on their side to our design.
