Eyewear Display Face

A display face we developed for an eyewear client who needed to show spectacles sitting on real face shapes, not on a flat shelf. The face is 3D-printed in resin with a soft matte-white finish that keeps the frames as the hero, while a pair of realistic eyes stops the display feeling like a blank mannequin.

Built to swap

The clever part is what you don’t see. The face sits on a custom mount and attaches by magnet, so an entire face can be swapped for another shape in seconds, and the eyeballs swap the same way. One mount, any number of faces: the client can show how the same frame sits on a narrower or wider face, or refresh the display without rebuilding it.

How we made it

We modelled the head around the mount, printed it in SLA resin for the smooth, even surface a close-up retail display needs, and left it matte white so nothing competes with the eyewear. The eyes are colour resin prints, printed with their iris colour in the material rather than painted on, and they seat into the sockets with the same magnetic fit.
