Mandai Zoo Pillar Transformation

This commission for the Mandai Zoo Kindergarten (Zoo School) was a masterclass in integrating advanced fabrication with bespoke artistry, creating a landmark feature that is both educational and deeply immersive. Our brief was to transform a structural pillar into an authentic, towering symbol of the rainforest.

The execution involved a multi-layered approach: the robust custom-sculpted tree trunk anchors the space, while the sky above is brought to life with a comprehensive ceiling mural. Critically, we introduced dynamic, three-dimensional realism by fabricating the resident fauna. Exotic bird figures were precisely 3D printed, reinforced with fibreglass for long-term durability, and finished by skilled artists who achieved hyper-realistic painting. These elements fly across the canopy, turning a simple ceiling into a vibrant, multi-dimensional habitat. This project stands as a testament to our ability to deliver premium, large-scale, and multi-medium themed architectural solutions that perfectly embody a client's commitment to nature discovery and high-fidelity experiential learning.
